Privacy Policy

Last updated: September 4, 2026

zerocam is built to respect your privacy. This page explains what the app does with your information — and, mostly, what it does not do.

Who we are

zerocam is made by Zero Camera Ltd, a company registered in England and Wales (number 17254277) at Flat 53 White House, Vicarage Crescent, London SW11 3LH. Zero Camera Ltd is the data controller for the app. You can reach us any time at hello+zerocam@zerocam.app.

Data we collect

We do not collect, store, or share any personal data. zerocam has no accounts, no sign-in, and no server of ours for your photos to be sent to. Everything you shoot stays on your device and in your own photo library.

Camera and photos

zerocam asks for your camera so it can take photos, and for permission to save to your photo library so the photos it takes are yours to keep. Images are processed entirely on your device, by the app itself. We never see them, never upload them, and never send them anywhere.

Location

If you allow it, zerocam writes the coordinates where a photo was taken into that photo’s own metadata, exactly as the built-in camera does, so Photos can show your shots on a map. This happens on your device, the location is stored only inside your own photo, and it is never sent to us or to anyone else. You can refuse or withdraw this permission at any time in your device settings, and the app keeps working without it.

Email updates

The only personal information we ever hold is an email address you choose to send us — for example, to get zerocam updates. We use it only to send those updates and to reply, and we never share it. If you ever want us to stop, just send an email to hello@zerocam.app asking not to receive more updates — we’ll delete your address and won’t contact you again.

Purchases

Subscriptions and in-app purchases are processed by Apple or Google. We never see your payment details. We use RevenueCat to keep track of whether a subscription is active; it handles only limited, anonymised purchase information (such as transaction and subscription status) on our behalf and cannot identify you personally.

Analytics and tracking

zerocam contains no analytics, no advertising, no third-party trackers and no cookies. We do not track you across apps or websites, and the app carries no advertising identifier.

Third-party services

The only third parties involved are Apple or Google (app distribution and payments) and RevenueCat (subscription management). You can read RevenueCat’s privacy policy at revenuecat.com/privacy.

Your rights

Under the GDPR, the UK GDPR and the California Consumer Privacy Act you have the right to access, correct, delete or receive a copy of any personal data we hold about you, and to object to how it is used. In practice the only thing we could ever hold is an email address you sent us yourself. Write to hello+zerocam@zerocam.app and we will act on your request. We do not sell or share personal information, and we never have. You also have the right to complain to your local data protection authority.

Children’s privacy

zerocam does not knowingly collect information from anyone, including children. Because the app collects nothing, there is nothing about a child for us to hold.

Changes to this policy

If this policy ever changes, the updated version will always be published on this page, with a new date at the top.
